Elon Musk — the owner of X, CEO of Tesla, billionaire, and leader of the U.S.'s Department of Government Efficiency — changed his name on X to Harry Bōlz on Tuesday. (Say it out loud.) Almost immediately, a few Solana meme coins popped up.

One token has been live since February 7 and increased 54,637 percent in just an hour on Tuesday. It has since fallen from a peak of $25.14 million to $8.5 million, according to Decrypt. Another token is sitting at a $3 million market cap, Decrypt reported.

Musk first changed his name to Harry Bōlz in April 2023 in an effort to make media publications call him that. (I am playing right into it.) As Rolling Stone reported back in 2023, it's a prime example of what makes Musk and his "routine of garbled gags, corny jokes, and pilfered memes" so deeply unfunny.
