Oppo Find N5 is an incredibly thin, yet powerful foldable phone

Almost as slim as a regular phone.

Oppo's Find N5, the world's thinnest book-style foldable phone, is now official.

The company teased the device back in January, but now it's officially launched globally. However, we currently only know the pricing in Singapore, where it starts at $2,499 SGD ($1,868).

That's a lot of money for a smartphone, but the value proposition here is simple and probably resonates with a lot of people: The Oppo Find N5 is a powerful phone with a large battery, a huge, foldable display, and yet it's basically as thin as a regular phone when folded. At just 8.93 millimeters, it's just slightly thicker than the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is 8.25 millimeters thick (despite, as you've probably noticed, not being foldable). And at 229 grams, the Oppo Find N5 is not the lightest phone around but it's definitely manageable.

It would all be in vain if the other specs didn't follow, but they do. Oppo Find N5 has an 8.12-inch main OLED display, and a 6.62-inch OLED cover display, both with a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside there's a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with 12/16GB of RAM and 256/512/1,024GB of storage. On the back there's a triple camera system, with a 50-megapixel main shooter, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera; on the front, there's an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Finally, it's all powered by a massive, 5,600mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Other details of note include stereo speakers and IPX8/IPX9 water resistance (Oppo says it's the first foldable phone that has been tested to withstand water jets at extreme temperatures).

Oppo Find N5 is launching with Android 15, paired with Oppo's ColorOS 15.

The Oppo Find N5 becomes available for pre-order on Feb. 21, with global availability starting on Feb. 28.
